By accessing and using RoadSyster ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.
RoadSyster is an open-source Customer Relationship Management platform designed for solo freelancers. These terms govern your use of both the hosted service and any self-hosted instances you may deploy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms of Service or if your account has been inactive for an extended period. You may also terminate your account at any time through your account settings.
RoadSyster offers both free and paid subscription plans. The features, limitations, and pricing for each plan are described on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
For paid subscriptions:
You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Upon downgrade, you may lose access to certain features and data limits may apply.
We reserve the right to modify our pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You retain all rights to the data you input into RoadSyster, including client information, projects, invoices, and communications. We claim no ownership over your content.

Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or performance of these third-party services. You grant us permission to access your data from these services as necessary to provide integration functionality.
RoadSyster's source code is available under an open-source license as specified in our GitHub repository. You may use, modify, and distribute the code subject to the terms of that license.
The RoadSyster name, logo, and branding are proprietary. While the code is open source, you may not use our trademarks without written permission except as allowed by the open-source license for attribution purposes.
You retain all rights to content you create using RoadSyster. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
RoadSyster is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
RoadSyster is a business management tool and does not provide legal, financial, tax, or accounting advice. You are responsible for consulting with appropriate professionals regarding your business decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoadSyster and its affiliates shall not be liable for:
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or R1 000 if you are using the free plan.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RoadSyster, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
For minor changes (such as clarifications or corrections), we may update these Terms without prior notice, though we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of RoadSyster shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA), except where prohibited by law.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by us, constitute the entire agreement between you and RoadSyster.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
